Stand Tall, Stand Strong - Building Bone Health
Osteoporosis, a condition marked by low bone mass and bone tissue deterioration, can weaken your bones, making you susceptible to fractures. But fear not, early prevention and treatment can be your armor against bone density issues.
A Silent Intruder
Often, osteoporosis develops without warning signs until a fracture occurs. Detecting and anticipating risk factors are crucial for proactive measures. With your family physician and physiotherapist, identify your risk factors to safeguard against osteoporosis.
The Power of Prevention
Our evidence-based program combines weight-bearing exercises, a calcium-rich diet, vitamin D intake, and medication if needed, to effectively treat and prevent osteoporosis. Screening at 40 (for women) and 50 (for men) can catch osteoporosis before the first fracture, preventing future disability.
Unbreakable Program
Undergo a comprehensive assessment by our experienced physiotherapist and certified kinesiologist, specialized in osteoporosis care. The assessment gauges your exercise ability, fracture risk, balance, and agility.
Tailored to You
Your personalized Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment Program will include:
- Posture exercises to strengthen your core foundation
- Supervised weight-bearing exercises to boost bone health
- Education on osteoporosis and daily activities
